Herdsman Lake

DISTANCE: 10.9km GRADIENT: Mostly flat GRADE: Easy, however some of the path is unsealed and not suited for slim-tyred road bikes.

There are many different routes around this lake, but not so many that you will get entirely lost! Sticking to the more defined tracks and keeping the lake’s edge to one side, you can’t help but circumnavigate its entirety.

There are smaller tracks which specify walkers-only, so please do respect these as it is likely neither the fauna nor walkers expect a cyclist to come barrelling past.

You can also join this ride up to the Lake Monger ride by heading back towards the freeway along Powis or any of the smaller streets.
