City Beach to Leederville (via Bold Park)

This ride is more of a suburban jaunt than a serious commuter ride. It involve a lazy tour through Bold Park/Perry Lakes Reserve, a meander through the picturesque Mere View Way and then the final dash along the trainline until you come to a sudden halt at cake and coffee central, Leederville.

We select this ride when we are want to cut the coastal ride short and not head all the way into Fremantle. When we are missing old Perth neighbourhoods and suburban vibes, or simply when it’s been awhile since we have taken this route.

It is pretty and peaceful. Some of the paths are more pedestrian than cyclist, and road-riding is likely a safe option should you choose it. You can easily skirt around Bold Park rather than ride through it, you also need not go all the way to Leederville, instead perhaps riding the ‘line into the city or northbound. There are always plenty of options for exploring, particularly on these short, suburban rides.
